Pikey peak trek, a less visited trekking trail in solukhumbu area is a short trek near Kathmandu valley.

The trekking trail through the green lush forests, cultural villages lead to the highest peak of the lower Everest region.

Trek Accommodation

Pikey peak trek is fully a tea-house trek. You will stay a overnight in a fully equipped tea house own by local people. The services are basic with good service.

The tea house provides you a room in a twin sharing basis. You may have to pay for the extra services like hot showers, laundry, wifi, extra blankets and boiled drinking water. But the costs are reasonable.

itinerary

  • day 01

    Arrival in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel. Refresh and preparation of trekking.

    Today is your arrival day. We will be staying at the arrival gate of the Kathmandu airport to welcome you holding your name card. You’ll be transferred to hotel and rest of the day is free for your preparation for the next day.

  • day 02

    Drive to Dhap. (2932m)

    This is on a shared jeep that starts from Kathmandu at around 05:30 hours  and will take around six to eight hours to reach Dhap. Once there we stay in a lodge.

  • day 03

    Hike Dhap to Jhapre (2829m)

    This is a five to six hour walk. Usually a trekking day starts after breakfast at the lodge and we walk a few hours before stopping for lunch at a local place, before continuing on. At Jhapre we sleep in a homestay sort
    of lodge.

  • day 04

    Hike Jhapre - Pikey Peak (4065m)

    Today is our climb day and it will take about six hours to reach our camp site. We stay overnight in the Pikey Peak Base Camp.

  • day 05

    Hike Pikey Peak – Jas Bhanjyang ( 3100m )

    We start our trekking after the breakfast and  reach Jas Bhjanjyang after 5 hrs of walk. We stay overnight at this place for the night.

  • day 06

    Hike Jas Bhanjyang - Junbesi ( 2700 m)

    Today we do the 5 hrs walk to the Junbesi. A portion of the trek is in the old trail to Everest. We are back in lodges for the night in Junbesi.

  • day 07

    Hike Junbesi - Salleri (2300m)

    We start our trekking after breakfast and continue for 4 hrs to reach Salleri. We can take rest for the day from our  pretty tiring journey.  Overnight stay at local tea house.

  • day 08

    Drive Salleri to Kathmandu

    On this day we drive to Kathmandu for about eight hours.

  • day 09

    Departure day

    Today we bid our farewell and drop you to airport for your onward journey with lots of happy memories. End of Service.
